45,000 Afghans Study in Schools of Tehran Province Cities

TEHRAN Some 45,000 Afghan students are studying in schools in different cities of Tehran Province, said director of Tehran's education affairs Shahabeddin Ghandali on Saturday. According to the education official, the northeastern province of Khorassan, neighboring Afghanistan, ranks second in terms of providing educational facilities for Afghan refugees with 36,000 Afghan students. At least two million Afghan people have fled to Iran during civil war in their country.
